R Holman snr

Robert William Douglas Holman lived at 51 Willow Walk Bermondsey, London prior to being enlisted on the 17th May 1916 into the Army Reserve.  It was documented that he was 5' 4" tall & 111lbs (7st 13lbs) and his trade was a Fitter & Turner. From the reserves he was called up for National Service on 8th May 1918. His Reg No was 401987 and was drafted into Unit 369 (MT) COY Royal Army Service Corps. He was transferred to the Army reserve at Crystal Palace on 13 November 1919. He spent all of his time in the Army in the UK and was fined a day's pay for a late return from a leave pass (11th November 1918).  Further information about his time in the army is currently being sought.

Robert was my Great Aunt's husband.
