WT Bedford

 

Worthy Thomas Bedford joined the Worcester Regiment labour Corps in
4th September 1916 at the age of 36. Worthy sustained a number of injuries
during his time serving in WW1. He was wounded in his right ankle a number
of times including once in Bordighera in Italy. He had was also diagnosed
as having flat feet and mild inflammation of the ankle. His records show him
being in Marseille, Harve, Rinxent and Rouen. Worthy signed to say he had no
disability from his military service in February 1919 which was probably at the
cessation of his army service. Living at 126 Somerset Road, Knowle, Bristol in 1921 census.

Worthy earned the Victory medal and the British War medal.
